Crafting makes weapons, supplies and horse upgrades. Use the crafting station in the storage building beside the Ridge B. County train station. Smelt ore first if a recipe needs ingots or metal parts. Chia offers blueprints for most of the five new guns after a quest.
Materials
- Steel Wireset is obtained through crafting.
- Destroying safes drops crafting materials.
- Shoot tumbleweeds rolling around the map to collect their contents.
- Meteor showers spawn meteors. Harvest the massive meteor for Meteor Shards.
- Buy a Pickaxe from the Pickaxe Girl at Digsite for 250 Moola to mine ore and meteorites. The Foundry turns ore into ingots and parts.
Specialty crafting
- Shabōn Hamon: hold soap and interact with a soap station to craft Hawkeye Soap, Hellfire Soap, Deerheart Soap, Reservoir Soap or Turtleshell Soap.
- Vampire: use the Blood Forge. Some moves are exclusive to crafting and cannot be obtained through reshapes.

The Copper Saddle reduces damage to your horse, the Horse Pouch stores up to six item types, and the Passenger Saddle lets a friend ride with you. See horse upgrades.
