Bison

Bison roam the Greenlands and desert in herds. They often head to the big river to drink.

Bison usually flee from players, but may attack when cornered or when a calf is left behind. They can turn broadside to intimidate players. Longarm weapons such as the Winchester Repeater deal increased damage to them.

Attacks

• Charge: Rush forward until they hit an obstacle, dealing about 15 damage.
• Head bash: Strike a nearby player, similar to a horse's head bash, for about 20 damage.

Poaching

After killing a bison, use a Poaching Knife on the body. A successful poaching attempt can yield:

• Bison Meat — 2–4, guaranteed. Sell it to Hunter for 80 Moola or cook it at a campfire.
• Bison Hide — 1–2, about 50% chance. Trade two hides to Hunter for a random reward.
• Bison Horn — 25% chance. Trade one horn to Hunter for a random reward.
