Buy an Axe from Woodman at the Lumber Cabin for 250 Moola. The cabin is behind Anthill Island, left of the Red Corner tunnel. The Axe uses a utility slot and also works as a basic melee weapon.
If you already carry four utilities, obtaining the Axe replaces one. Chop trees near the Outlaw Camp, in the Swamp or on Anthill Island. Each tree gives 1–10 EXP and 1–4 Wood; Woodman buys Wood for 20 Moola each.
| Extra drop | Chance | Trees |

| Wooden Stake | 5% | Normal and swamp |
| Dogbane Herb | 5% | Swamp only |
Swamp trees have twice as much health as normal forest trees.
